Stanford may encourage better student voter turnout for a proactive

Whether it is shaking with oversized marijuana joints is UCLA Jelani McCoy's or follow Oregon's Luke Ridnour "Frodo Baggins" village, Stanford's "sixth Man Club" was once a reputation as one of the West Coast of the most creative student sections.

The student voter turnout and ingenuity decreased somewhat as the program is their risks because Mike Montgomery at the place of departure to the third year 2004 coach Johnny Dawkins is an idea to make the Maples Pavilion more fearsome home court again.

Stanford Daily according to the sixth Man-part of the admission is free of charge to all students for the next period, at the request of Dawkins '. The Club also implement loyalty points system for rewarding with access to the Conference there on a tryout basis of the best places in the winter games.

"It was something always throw around all the way to make inclusion as possible, but some of it was difficult to make happen as students," sixth Man Club Director Joel Sandler told the Stanford daily."It took Coach Dawkins suitable for pushing the change to make it reality. Since coming to Stanford, he is a huge supporter of the student section and a number of actions to reach out to us fans."

It is particularly important in the Stanford can feed off the energetic home crowd for the next period, especially for young people, since Cardinal. Guard Anthony Brown and forward the title of the Dwight Powell promising class of six man I is expected to lead to an increase in the size and athleticism is missing for the last period in both areas, severely roster.

One interesting tidbit from the Stanford Daily story was that a change in the student section of the shows are only at this stage, the next season. [1] [2] It is probably the Stanford athletic Department for the hope that the program will show signs of contending IN THE PAC-10 again, so that the cardinal may charge you for admission and continues to meet the student section every evening.
