Brook Lopez: Amazing comic-man

Networks Center Brook Lopez took a look at ESPN the magazine's NBA preview cover and had no comment on three of the biggest stars of the League, the recognizable comic book icons each of you kept. All sports fan could have recognized Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and pop culture observer would note the presence of Captain America's shield, the hammer of Thor and iron man metallic glove. What struck Lopez was something identifiable to a true comic expert style, Lopez at first sight say unique drawings asked: "Quesada."

That would be Joe Quesada, chief creative officer and editor-in-Chief, one of many Marvel artists who helped Marvel Comics, comic book images for each NBA team in this special collaboration to erstellen.Lopez he is just as big a star like each of the players in the NBA.

Lopez is a big (literally) comic book Fan.Er a chance leads to a store in Manhattan every Wednesday to pick up the latest issues and last year he made a trip to the New York Comic Con Convention some of his favorite comic artists to achieve.

"I'm a DC [comics]-Kerl actually, but I know all these guys," said Lopez.

The first picture I showed him was the rendering of the networks owner Mikhail Prokhorov as Galactus and Lopez genehmigt.Er liked Bobcats owner Michael Jordan as Nick fury.

These are two characters that I recognized on my own, nicht.Aber would I wanted to see if he could guess the comic tie in to the raptors, who are so unclear, that other Marvel characters including the thing and human confused torch pictured by their presence sind.Lopez has simply: "Alpha Flight."

That was my best fastball (I had only alpha flight's identity in a briefing to the ESPN headquarters learned on the previous day) and I couldn't get it to him vorbei.Lopez had its value as a legitimate comic Maven, proven, although I still try am a 7 foot NBA players who try, image navigate his way through the comic-con.

"They have all the guys in costumes, it decreases a little pressure," said Lopez.

And just so you know there are limits, his devotion to the comic books: "I have taken no costume."
